CARAVAN PARK AND CAMP SITE
Criw is an
established family run business,
owned by Ronald and Myfanwy Thomas. Centrally located on the Llyn
Peninsula. (see map) Boasting beautiful open
country views. A secure and safe site for children. It's located in
the quiet village of Bryncroes. It's a family site, so it's
quite and it does not get overcrowded. Criw is within 4 to 6 miles for several safe and sandy
beaches, country walks, other amenities include horse
trekking, sailing, fishing, climbing and cycling to mention a few.
The village of Sarn is a twenty minute walk through a quite
country lane, which has three pubs, (two of which serve
good food at reasonable prices), a Post Office, garage, and two shops. It
also has a restaurant / tea house.
The site has several
hook-up facilities for caravans and tents. One shower/toilet block
has one shower with washbasin, one toilet with hot water hand wash,
dishwashing facilities, a chemical disposal point, and fresh water
supply. 2nd block has two showers and two toilets with hot water
hand wash, and fresh water supply. Criw is a
family site, so it's quite and it does not get overcrowded. As the
terrestrial TV reception is weak in this area, there are
satellite dishes on the site, so bring your own receiver!
Pwllheli and Abersoch
are a short drive away. Both have 18 hole golf courses. Pwllheli,
being the main town on the peninsula, has a leisure centre, marina,
cinema, bus depot, railway station and supermarkets. Fishing trips
and other boating activities are available from both these places.
Abersoch is an attraction for the younger generation, where you can
jet-ski, power boat race, wake-board, and other water sports. The
main attraction is the annual Wakestock festival. The biggest
outdoor music festival in Europe, which attracts over 20 thousand
fans every year.
From Pwllheli, take
the A499 towards Abersoch / Llanbedrog. At Llanbedrog, turn off onto
the B4413 signposted for Aberdaron. Continue along this road for
approx. 5 miles, (through the villages of Botwnnog and Sarn) . 1
